Toss Report: Highveld Lions v South Australian Redbacks

Centurion, September 12: The fourth match of CLT20 2010 gets under way at SuperSport Park Centurion.

Speaking to Pommie Mbanwa, Shaun Pollock said of the wicket, “It is very patchy, I expect it to be a bit two-paced. I don’t think there is much pace in the wicket, there will be a little bit of in it for the spinners.” On being asked about what the teams would like to do should they win the toss, Pollock said, “The Lions should look to bowl first, it is their strength, while the South Australian Redbacks, like all Australian teams, would like to put the runs up on the board.”

Captain Speak:

Alviro Petersen (Highveld Lions): On the team’s win against Mumbai Indians on Friday: “The boys are on a high after the win the other day, but we would like to take it one day at a go.”

On the changes in the squad: “Shane Burger is a little sore and so we’ve brought in Werner Coetsee, this wicket should suit his style of bowling.”

Michael Klinger (South Australian Redbacks): On the wicket: “It looks really good, it might be a little slow to start [with] but it will get better as the game gets on.”

On losing the toss: “We would have liked to bat so it really doesn’t matter to us.”

On Shaun Tait playing in the game: “If we can post a good score and he can come out firing that would be great for us.”
